According to the French magazine Le Point, Adolf Hitler (1889-1945) had a child with a French 16-year-old during the 1st World War. Officially, Germany's former dictator did not have any descendants, but now new evidence might change this perception.

Jean-Marie Loreta is allegedly Hitler's son. His mother, Charlotte Lobjoie, on her deathbed in the 50's told her son who his actual father was. According to his mother, she had met Hitler when he served as a soldier in 1917. The future dictator was then 28 years old.

Indications are that there might be more truth in this statement than first thought. Both Loret and Hitler share the same blood group, handwriting and a striking physical resemblance. Lorets mother also had signed paintings by Hitler in the attic. In Germany, a portrait painted by Hitler of a girl strongly resembling Lorets mother was found.

However, there is no complete agreement about how genuine this paternity really is. The Belgian Jean-Paul Mulders has travelled all over the world and collected DNA from Lorets family and Hitler's last known relatives. He does not believe that the now late Jean-Marie Loret was Adolf Hitler's unknown son.
